Derek is an experienced and passionate automotive professional with over 15 years in the automotive industry. Since the opening of Ferrari South Bay in 2015, Derek has served as the Parts Manager, bringing his expertise and dedication to the role, where he ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Derek’s love for cars started at a young age when his brother began taking him to watch him drag race American muscle cars at the now closed Brotherhood Raceway on Terminal Island in San Pedro. Derek himself completed his first race at the age of fourteen and has been hooked ever since.
His love for European sports cars and circuit racing came when he began working at an independent workshop restoring various European makes. He was quickly drawn to Ferrari as he begun to appreciate the quality, craftsmanship, and uniqueness that the famous Italian brand was known for.

He took a hiatus from the automotive world to work as a graphic designer for a printing company for several years before being called back with an opportunity to work with Ferrari officially.
In his spare time, Derek enjoys watching football and soccer, traveling, and snowboarding.
