The 296 GTB and GTS showcase Ferrari’s hybrid innovation, blending racing heritage with advanced plug-in technology.
Hybrid doesn’t mean compromise—it means Ferrari-level performance, evolved. The 296 GTB and 296 GTS represent the pinnacle of Ferrari’s hybrid innovation, merging decades of racing expertise with cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology. These aren’t just hybrid Ferraris—they are Ferraris, full stop.
MORE THAN A DECADE OF HYBRID INNOVATION
Ferrari’s hybrid journey began on the racetrack:
2009 – The F60 Formula 1 car introduced KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), a revolutionary hybrid assist
2013 – The LaFerrari delivered 963 HP using V12 power supplemented by an electric motor
2021 – The 296 GTB debuted as the first Ferrari road car with a V6 plug-in hybrid, ushering in a new era of compact, everyday-performance vehicles
This relentless pursuit of performance through electrification is Ferrari’s hybrid DNA.

ADVANCED HYBRID ARCHITECTURE
The 296 range incorporates Ferrari’s most refined hybrid system yet, with features such as:
7.45 kWh High-Voltage Battery, safely mounted behind the seats for optimal weight distribution, cabin space, and crash safety
MGU-K Electric Motor offering up to 315 Nm torque in eDrive mode
Transition Manager Actuator (TMA) seamlessly manages the handoff between the electric motor and the V6 engine, ensuring smooth, instant transitions between driving modes
High-efficiency inverter for responsive and consistent torque delivery
This hybrid system doesn’t replace the traditional Ferrari driving experience—it enhances it.

A V6 BORN FROM RACING
The 296’s 120° V6 isn’t just a new engine—it’s the revival of a historic Ferrari lineage. Ferrari first adopted the V6 architecture in the 1961 246 SP, a race car that won the Targa Florio and laid the groundwork for future mid-engine innovation. The V6 powered legends like the 156 F1, Ferrari’s first Constructors’ Championship-winning Formula 1 car. Decades later, that same spirit lives on in the 296 GTB and GTS, now fused with Formula 1 hybrid technology. Compact, lightweight, and ferociously powerful, the V6 is once again at the heart of Ferrari’s most forward-thinking cars.
V6 MOTORSPORT HERITAGE
POWER MEETS PRECISION
The heart of both the 296 GTB and 296 GTS is a revolutionary 120° twin-turbo V6 engine producing 663 HP. Combined with a Formula 1-derived MGU-K (Motor Generator Unit – Kinetic) electric motor, total output reaches a staggering 830 HP, allowing:
0–200 km/h in just 7.3 sec
Best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 1.77 kg/HP
Distinct engine note inspired by Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V12s

FOUR DISTINCT DRIVING MODES
Using the intuitive eManettino switch, drivers can tailor their experience:
Qualify: Unlocks maximum power and performance for track-like responsiveness
Performance: Keeps the battery charged to ensure constant electric assist during spirited driving
Hybrid: Optimal balance of performance and efficiency; ideal for everyday driving
eDrive: Full-electric mode for up to 25 km of silent, emission-free driving at speeds up to 120 km/h
This flexibility allows the 296 to be a daily driver, weekend escape artist, and performance icon—all in one.
BATTERY CONFIDENCE BUILT IN
Ferrari has engineered not only world-class performance, but long-term ownership confidence:
3-year standard warranty
Two warranty extensions offered. WARRANTY EXTENSION HYBRID coverage available up to year 8 and POWER HYBRID coverage available up to year 16
Complimentary hybrid vehicle battery replacement at years 8 and 16 If the warranty is continuously renewed without gaps
This makes the 296 one of the most secure and future-proof hybrid sports cars on the market.
HYBRID AT HEART, FERRARI IN SOUL
Whether you opt for the sculpted GTB or the open-air exhilaration of the GTS, the 296 range reflects everything Ferrari has learned—on the track and on the road.
This is not just a Ferrari that accepts hybridization. It’s a Ferrari that proves hybridization can elevate performance.
Welcome to the future of driving—crafted in Maranello.
